There is truly no reason why plant based food cannot be wonderful, tasty and healthy.
The concept of The Plant Based Chef was conceived as more and more of my clients began requesting healthier options such as vegan and raw food dishes as well gluten free and sugar free options. My aim is provide you with plant based recipes and ideas that will lead you further down the path of using more and more fruits, vegetables and grains in you everyday eating. For your healths sake and for the sake of the planet we should all be trying to eat less animal based and processed foods.
This first hand knowledge I gained from studying Agricultural Science at university and further research has led me to question the way our food is grown and processed. Lifting the veil on modern industrial agriculture is only the first step in changing the paradigm of modern food production and consumption. A new way needs to be found that’s alters our perception of what we consume towards healthier, less cruel, less environmentally destructive and fairer outcomes for all members of the food chain.
We hope to help and encourage a healthier way of eating whether you are an omnivore or herbivore.

With nearly thirty years experience as a professional chef in some of the best restaurants and with some of the worlds best chefs, David has been led to offer his services to a wide range of clients both in Australia and world wide.
My renewed focus on food has led me too vegetarian and vegan cookery with an emphasis on healthy nutrient rich foods foods and a holistic approach to food and eating.
The Plant Based Chef is about eating less animals and their products and more plants. There is truly no reason why plant based food cannot be wonderful, tasty and healthy.
